Prepare the surface
Thoroughly clean the rear boot/tailgate mounting area using the included isopropyl alcohol prep pad. Remove any wax, polish, dirt or residue. Allow to dry completely.
Dry-fit & align
Without removing the adhesive backing, hold the badge against the vehicle to check alignment. Use the original mounting position or existing indentation marks as a guide.
Apply the badge
Peel the protective film from the pre-applied 3M VHB adhesive tape. Carefully position the badge and press firmly into place. Start from one end and press across to avoid air pockets.
Apply pressure & cure
Apply firm, even pressure across the entire badge for a minimum of 30 seconds. For optimum bond strength, avoid washing the vehicle for 24 hours and do not use a pressure washer on the badge area for 72 hours.
Tip: For best adhesion, install at temperatures above 15°C. If installing in cold weather, gently warm the mounting surface with a hair dryer before application.
